Reflections – October 2009

In October:

  • I got some new boots which I still love to bits.
  • I started watching Glee and I am so glad I did!
  • My super club went to the Rag Market in Birmingham.
  • I finally got round to repurposing my Batman t-shirt.
  • My cousin Stephen got married to Laura in the Peak District near Sheffield (and I bought a new dress for the wedding).
  • Rich and I visited Chatsworth.
  • I started my final module for my Literature degree with the Open University, a Children’s Literature course.
  • Rich and I visited our friends Jess and Toby in Westcliff – the last time we will see then as just the two of them.  Elijah Thomas was born in December (I can’t wait to meet him!).
  • Some of my club buddies came over to bake Halloween treats and carve pumpkins.

Globe Love

I have just been scanning through the Golden Globes website and was particularly happy about these winners:

Sandra Bullock

I haven’t seen the film for which she was nominated but I love her.

The Hangover

This film is just hilarious.  I can pretty much guarantee that Cie would hate it, though.  IN THE FACE!

Robert Downey Jr

I haven’t see Sherlock Holmes yet but I will.  This guy is just fab.

Dexter

We desperately need to catch up with this show.  I can’t believe I didn’t realise that Michael C Hall had cancer though (hence the funky hat).  I am sending lots of good thoughts his way.

And last but most definitely not least, Glee

Aw Jayma, you’re so cute and your dress is very pretty.

I heart Tumblr – #6

This December, I am taking a break from regular blogging but I will be back in the new year (hopefully)! Here goes with another week of Tumblr goodies.

'... magic, dreams and good madness.' Love it.

Rage Against the Machine stomps on the X Factor. Great stuff.

This makes me glow inside.

I used the power of Glee to cheer up a miserable friend yesterday.

Excuse me, Sir, you have a little something on your back.

RIP Brittany Murphy. So sad.

I heart Tumblr – #5

There’s so much to do at this time of year!  Here are the best bits from the past week on Tumblr to amuse you while I crack on with those things…

Glee cast cuteness.

Big cat cuteness

Favouritism lolz

Word play lolz

Baby Batman. Need I explain?

So pretty and festive.

So pretty and booksy.

Me and mah monkeh.

Why. The. Face?

Wheeeee!!

Cheerio!

I heart Tumblr – week 4

So the essay got done.  I survived, sanity largely intact.  I am not really sure about the quality of the essay but it was the right length this time and it was submitted 40 minutes before the deadline so that is better than last time on both counts.

It’s Friday, which is pretty awesome.  Here’s some stuff I found on tumblr this week.

A Christmassy one to kick us off. I do love Christmas cheekiness.

Some more winter cheer. Hee!

Token Glee post.

"Sorry I fell asleep while you were describing the most boring party ever. " Do you watch Modern Family? You should.

Caught in an illicit act.

Yes!

Love this.

You can tell when I am having a bad weeek - the snark to cute quotient is greatly affected. Although I suppose that doesn't explain the carnivorous squirrel above.

Posted purely for @glitterbubbles. Honestly.

I can think of a couple of people I need to buy this for but I also would like it for myself because it is funny.

Thanks must be passed on to Nick Holmes because a good proportion of my Tumblr is reblogged from him.  He is a legend.  Have a good weekend.
