After an unfortunate incident where Evelina faceplanted onto the laminate floor, her beautiful front tooth is now chipped FOREVER (well, until her big teeth come through at least!). She looks like a right little rogue now!

Rich might tell be she isn’t a baby anymore but I am clinging on to her babyhood for all my life as she approaches her first birthday. This week, she has been struggling with a stinking cold which means she has been extra snotty and extra sleepy.  She could well be teething too since she still only has the two teeth that came in July – I am waiting for the next lot to show up and hoping it won’t happen all at once.

Being poorly has meant that Evelina has been more sensitive than usual – we have even had a few tears this week which is most unusual. It is hard to be at work when she is like this as she seems to deteriorate when I get home – the combination of being tired and seeing Mama means that it is all a bit too much.  Last night, Evelina went to sleep at 6.20 and woke up this morning after 8am so at least she has been catching up on her sleep. In fact she is having a long nap right now although I think I can hear her stirring on the monitor.  Let’s hope she gets better for the weekend so we can have some fun family time!
