You may remember some time ago that my Mum and I started making a crochet granny square blanket. It’s now finished!!
This is the first crochet I have ever done having learned how at a sew make believe workshop. We made the squares between us and then my mum sewed the squares together using the same wool we used for the squares.
We chose a ‘random’ pattern which ensured that the same colours didn’t end up next to each other.
I am over the moon with the finished article. The wool is so soft and the blanket is pretty but not too girlie. It’s going to look amazing over the nursing chair in the nursery once we have eventually moved and we actually HAVE a nursery.

I like the random placing of these colors. What a lovely blanket!
Thanks Ambar!

This is just so gorgeous – she’s going to be the luckiest and most hand-crafted-for baby around!

I am going to crochet a blanket for camp but haven’t crocheted since I was young. I am now 50! I want to use one colour per square as you have done as that seems simpler to me. Would you mind letting me know what stitch you use?
