On Tuesday night, I went shopping with ricardo to get a couple of last-minute Christmas presents and while we were walking past the kitchen appliances in John Lewis, he paused. I warned him that by doing so, he will only have to suffer my longing looks at the display of Kitchen Aid Stand Mixers. He looked thoughtful for a moment, then we carried on our way. This what I had been eyeing up:
When we had finished shopping, and found ourselves back near the mixers, he stopped and asked me if I wanted one. And he was serious. In January, he is going on his second annual snowboarding trip (and this time her has all his own gear). Both years, I have elected not to go (mainly because I think me + snowboarding = disaster). Last January, I went to Tenerife for a week while Rich was away but this time, I am staying home. Instead, I have this baby:
I was so gob-smacked. I actually cried when we finally got to the car with happiness, gratitude (and no doubt, a dose of PMS hormones). I have not had chance to play with it yet, or even plug it in (I have hardly been home since we bought it) but it’s mine and I am in love. I can’t wait for the weekend!

I don’t think I wow’d enough about this last night – it is *so* lovely (and what an amazing husband you have!). If we had any space at all in our kitchen I would be even more jealous, but as it is I will just have to come and ogle. Does it have a bread hook? If so I will be trying to make off with it under my coat after all! Who need space for a fridge anyway?
I hate to say it but yes, I it has a dough hook. I can’t wait to get home so I can actually use it!
