Co-founding in progress

Yesterday, I met up with Caroline (aka SecondHandShopper and @fairynuff27) for the first time.  This meeting came about after Caroline posted the above tweet on LeamLive.com. As I had been looking for exactly the same things myself, I contact her and since then we have been Tweeting and blogging and emailing and ended up in a cool pub in Leamington drink tea, coffee and strawberry beer, discussing our new superclub.  We have yet to come up with a proper name, although this is our homework along with deciding on a list of books we both want to read.  Our inaugural meeting will be 19th June at my house.  An inauspicious start, no doubt, but I am extremely excited about the potential of this skill-sharing club which will hopefully grow and give other like-minded indivudals a place to come to sew, craft, discuss books and maybe even watch/discuss TV and films.  It’s  a dream come true for me!  You only have to take a look at my five horizons to see what I love.  So now I am brainstorming name ideas and when we meet on the 19th, we will come up with our marketing strategy to get the word out.  It was an absolute treat to meet Caroline – we have so much in common it’s uncanny.  I really feel like we could get something going.  If you live in the Leamington / Warwick area (or could get here on a fortnightly basis), please do contact me.  We will be rolling out more information soon.

About Kate

Find my niche? Such advice is gleefully ignored here where I spread the bookish, crafty, navel-gazing, teevee, mama love.

Wooo! It’s going to be so great! :D

One of my Newcastle friends left a comment on my blog suggesting the name Make Believe. How come other people can come up with original names and I’m drawing a blank?

It’s like awhile ago there was a jeans commercial with an old Creedence song in it, and the Creedence song was about the Vietman war and protest, but it was a rocky song so I guess they just liked the beat. I don’t think people listen or pay attention to what they are doing.
