I have had a lovely long weekend. The weather was pretty good considering and we saw lots of people. I also managed the following feats of domesticity:
- baked TWO separate batches of chocolate chip cookies
- made spicy parsnip soup
- started hand-quilting the baby quilt
- entertained four different sets of visitors
- made chicken stock from a roast chicken carcass left over from Saturday’s dinner
- knocked up some homemade houmous (effort vs taste did not tally, unfortunately)
No wonder I feel exhausted today. Although that may have something to do with the day at Hatton Country World yesterday with my best friend’s family (including a five year old and two year old).
